My name is Sunnye Knipe. I grew up in Wimberley, Tx and have been working with horses most of my life. I helped on many ranches throughout school, leading trail rides and training horses for the owners. Showing horses was also a huge part of my life growing up. I've shown APHA, AQHA, as well as open and 4H shows. Now I have 15 horses of my own that my daughter and I enjoy riding together. I am also the adult manager of the Comal County Saddle Slappers 4H horse club and help out as a coach for the multiple time national qualifying horse judging teams, as well as our many other judging teams. Horses have always been a passion of mine and I love getting to share that with others!
My daughter, Makenzie, has been riding since she was 6. She helps out during camps and trail rides, as well as during some lessons. She was the 2015 CCSP Rodeo Queen, is the 2016 CCFA Rodeo Princess, and loves to compete at play days and shows with her horses Mia and Sandman. I'm so proud of how Makenzie loves to share her knowledge of horses with the younger kids that come here to ride. I hope this is a passion that will stick with her throughout her life, just as it has with me.
